Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Typical Base Rate Range of $20.00 to $25.00 (DOE)

What You’ll Be Doing as an Accounts Payable Specialist:
Assists with assigned activities related to Accounts Payable. Ensures assigned suppliers are paid timely, accurately and efficiently.
- Processes supplier invoices, freight bills, and employee expense reports. Ensures payments are properly authorized in accordance with company policy.
- Matches supplier invoice to receiving documents to ensure goods and services were received and confirm that invoice is in compliance with the purchase order prior to making payment.
- Sends miscellaneous, non-purchase order related invoices for approval and General Ledger coding before processing.
- Ensures payments are charged to the proper General Ledger account code.
- Prepares daily batches for input into the Accounts Payable system.
- Schedules invoices for payment. Reviews and approves checks and Accounts Payable journals prior to disbursement.
- Reconciles the Accounts Payable Trial Balance to control logs and journals. Assists with tasks associated with the month-end and year-end closing of the Accounts Payable System.
- Provides timely and accurate response to inquiries.
- Represents the Company and maintains a good working relationship with suppliers.
- Assists with 1099 reporting.
- Assists with special projects.
- Distributes incoming mail and applies postage to outgoing U.S. mail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experiences You’ll Need as an Accounts Payable Specialist:
- A high school diploma with 1-3 years relevant work experience or working toward an Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in accounting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Previous Oracle experience strongly preferred.
- Strong detail orientation and numbers aptitude.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure with frequent deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products.
Work Environment for an Accounts Payable Specialist:
Work takes place in a standard office environment.
