This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC, requiring on-site presence of two to five days per week.


How you'll make an impact

  • Lead all engineering activities across the full project lifecycle

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for stakeholders

  • Drive innovation and cost-effective solutions in proposals

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract standards

  • Support commissioning and construction phases

  • Evaluate risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Promote continuous improvement and process optimization


Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • 7+ years of relevant project engineering experience

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE, and high-voltage substations

  • Familiarity with FACTS technologies (STATCOM, SVC, Series Capacitor)

  • Experience in EPC project environments

  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
