Benefits Account Manager
Job Description
As a Benefits Account Manager, you’ll be the point person for our clients, managing their benefits accounts and delivering next-level service. You’ll work closely with Producers to support sales and marketing efforts while building strong, long-lasting relationships. If you love multitasking, solving problems, and making clients feel like VIPs, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities
Keep client files organized and up to date in agency systems (Applied/AMS, Health Connect).
Track and assist with renewals 45–60 days in advance.
Coordinate enrollment meetings and ensure benefit materials are prepped and ready to shine.
Handle client service calls and turn challenges into solutions.
Create benefit proposals and comparison spreadsheets (Excel wizards, this is your moment!).
Scrub case submissions and follow up on underwriting approvals.
Stay current on ERISA, ACA, and other applicable regulations.
Ensure client interactions and documentation are always spot-on and compliant.
Experience:
2–4 years of Employee Benefits Account Management, with small and large group renewals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
Skills:
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication.
A multitasker with a laser focus on details.
Experience using Benefits Admin Platforms: Ease, Employee Navigator
Agency Management Systems: BenefitPoint and
Microsoft Office Pro: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
