Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Internal Communications who brings clarity, consistency and humanity to company messaging—and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where collaboration, trust and follow-through matter. In this hands-on role, you will write and execute with speed and precision, lead a small but mighty team, and work fluidly with HR, executives and cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll also shape messaging for change initiatives, cultural moments, business updates and company-wide events—all while helping align communications across teams and leadership levels. A day on the job looks like this:
- Partnering closely with HR, the Chief of Staff and senior leaders to plan and deliver clear, aligned internal communications on business updates, change initiatives and employee engagement efforts
- Writing and editing internal content across a variety of formats—including emails, intranet articles, leadership messaging and internal social updates—while adapting tone and style to reflect different executive voices and audiences
- Managing the internal communications team with a focus on coaching, quality control and prioritization—ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality, on-brand work
- Coordinating scripting, content and agenda development for company-wide livestreams, town halls and leadership forums
- Supporting executive communications by refining tone, sequencing and strategy—helping leaders connect authentically and effectively with employees
- Contributing to communication strategies and execution for HR programs, business changes and company culture initiatives—ensuring messaging is clear, timely and aligned
- Tracking engagement, gathering feedback, and continuously improving the clarity, tone and impact of internal messaging
- Thriving in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment by balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution
- Navigating ambiguity with a steady, low-ego approach—collaborative by nature, yet confident in taking initiative and moving work forward independently
- Operating within established decision-making structures and building trust with stakeholders through a tactful, solutions-focused communication style
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in internal communications in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels
- Demonstrated success managing direct reports
- Excellent judgment, maturity and dependability in handling sensitive or confidential information
- Strong business acumen
- Flexibility to seamlessly adapt and pivot when necessary
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
- Proficiency with virtual meeting technology such as Zoom and Teams

At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at a salary rate between $98,000 - $150,000 depending on relevant experience & skillset.
This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset.
