KBR is proud to be the Principal Design Partner for the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA), a collaboration with LXRP, Metro Trains Melbourne, and John Holland. Since 2017, NWPA has successfully delivered around $3B in transport infrastructure projects for the state and community.
Our success has earned us a 5-year extension from LXRP, ensuring a robust pipeline of transport opportunities in Melbourne through 2027.
The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for an Urban Designer or Landscape Architect to join our busy and growing, Urban Design Team in Melbourne.
You will collaborate with a large multi-disciplinary team and contribute to creative solutions that yield award winning outcomes.
Your role will include (but not be limited to):
- Accurate provision of design analysis as well as input, advice and expertise on design studies associated with engineering and other projects.
- Effective management of sub-consultants preparing feasibility studies, context analysis, masterplan/open space strategies, precinct plan development, landscape architecture.
- Lead coordination of and/or input to and development of key design strategies, including Indigenous co-design, heritage interpretation, active transport strategies and integrated art.
- Accurately apply knowledge of local council and state government and federal strategies and guidelines as they relate to urban design approaches.
- Delivering design services to key city shaping projects as part of the Level Crossing Removal Projects
Who are you?
You are a motivated Urban Design or Landscape Architect professional eager to take a prominent role in Melbourne’s iconic infrastructure projects. You have a proven track record of working in a multi-disciplinary environments, facilitating design coordination, sub-contractor management and liaising with clients.
You recognise the importance of maintaining professional networks within the company and across the infrastructure industry, building strong relationships with government departments and industry stakeholders.
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design or Landscape Architecture.
- In-depth understanding of sub-contractor management.
- Proven experience in providing design advice on major government projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Delivering project milestones on time and on budget
- Eligibility for membership in a professional association.
