About the Role:

We are seeking a data-driven and customer-focused Director of Customer Marketing to lead initiatives that enhance customer engagement, advocacy, and retention. This role will play a crucial part in developing customer communications, advocacy programs, and marketing campaigns that strengthen relationships and drive expansion within our existing customer base. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing, to amplify customer voices and create compelling content that highlights customer success stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage customer advocacy programs, including case studies, testimonials, and reference programs.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to identify and nurture customer champions.
  • Create and distribute compelling customer-focused content, including success stories, whitepapers, and video testimonials.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to develop messaging and campaigns that promote product adoption and usage.
  • Leverage customer insights and data to inform marketing strategies and improve the customer experience.
  • Work closely with the sales team to equip them with customer stories and materials that support cross-sell and upsell efforts.
  • Measure the impact of customer marketing initiatives and continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop and implement a scalable customer appreciation gifting strategy to enhance customer relationships.
  • Evaluate, configure, and launch advocacy and reference tools to streamline customer engagement efforts, with support from Head of Customer Marketing.
  • Review, consolidate and tag customer quotes into an easily searchable asset for use across marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize customer advocacy requests from Marketing and Sales teams to ensure alignment with broader company goals.
  • Support and promote customer events, including user groups, roadshows, and Customer Advisory Boards as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in customer marketing, advocacy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, customer engagement strategies, and customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for storytelling.
  • Proven experience in creating compelling customer content and case studies.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for customer success and advocacy.
