Job Description
As a Platform Manager, you are responsible for driving product success and ensuring that the team delivers value to clients efficiently. This requires a deep understanding of client needs, the ability to communicate effectively across teams, and a strategic mindset to drive product vision.
Responsibilities
- Address the problem stories defined by the Product Managers and collaborate with UI/UX and Technical teams to develop the solution
- Collaborate with UI/UX to define a solution that is user-friendly and intuitive for the end-user
- Review the solution with the PM, before development to ensure it addresses the target problem of the persona
- Update and train the solution experts on the new features (train the trainer)
- Communicate Release notes and specific launch or end dates to the teams
- Attend meetings with the development teams (Scrum or others) to assist the team building the best solution
- Create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility
- Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, providing clarification on requirements and resolving any issues that arise
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and continuous improvement
- Engage with customers to gather feedback on product features and performance
- Conduct user testing and validation to ensure that products meet user needs and expectations
- Monitor product performance through analytics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Attend some customer meetings with the PMs to learn about the market
- Sit down with the PM to establish the release plan. Stay involve when discussions are needed
- Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, sales, marketing, and technology teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather feedback and validate ideas
- Report on product progress and metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field combined with at least five (5) years of experience as a Product Owner
- Proven experience in responsive design concepts
- Experience working in an Agile organization
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Technical background with knowledge of software development, web and /or mobile technologies
- Proven ability to translate non-technical information into a technical level of detail that developers can work with
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to realize maximum value
- Full proficiency in French and English (reason: External clientele & complexity)
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders with the ability to influence and convince
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- High accuracy and attention to detail in data management and reporting.
