*Securian Financial Groups internal position title is Engineering Analyst. This position is eligible to be hired at the Analyst, Sr. Analyst, or Consultant levels depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Position Summary: 

Securian Financial is seeking an experienced developer to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to a collaborative, agile environment supporting a range of software systems. Our technology stack includes Java, Spring, Informatica, SQL Server, Oracle Insurance Policy Administration, and DB2. You’ll work across multiple agile teams to develop and maintain solutions for Life policy administration, distribution stakeholders, AWS Cloud, Application Managed Services (AMS), and Enterprise/Individual Solutions initiatives. These systems empower Securian associates to deliver exceptional service to customers and financial professionals.
 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities of medium to high complexity.
  • Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset.
  • Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
  • Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and optimizing applications on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain Individual Life business knowledge.
  • Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field)
  • Java (1-3 years of experience)
  • Strong collaborator and communicator
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

#LI-Hybrid **This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week.**

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$52,500.00 - $97,500.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
