Department: Finance / Accounting
Reports To: Senior Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reporting and operational accounting to function with our finance team. This role will focus on analyzing financial data and assisting in reporting, while also supporting other business functions as needed. The successful candidate will also be detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of balancing analytical tasks with transactional support in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
· Assist in month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
· Monitor department-level performance metrics.
· Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for various operational departments.
· Partner with department managers to provide insights into spending trends and budget variances.
· Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
Other Duties:
· Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
· Identify and implement process improvements in both operational analysis and administrative functions.
· Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
· Any and all other tasks/duties as directed by the Senior Finance Manager.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
· CPA or pursuit of CPA designation (preferred)
Experience:
· 2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
· Hospitality industry experience preferred
· Prior experience with or knowledge of business systems and accounting functions
Skills:
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
· Knowledge of accounting principles and hospitality financial practices
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to prioritize multiple, and at times conflicting, agendas
