Northern Regional Special Events Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Has previous experience in weddings and wedding related events including sales, detailing and servicing
- Has previous experience in special event sales, detailing and servicing
- Ability to work in the evening and weekends
- Ability to travel in Santa Fe and Taos
- Has knowledge of current wedding and special event trends
- Desire to serve guests and provide an outstanding product with exceptional service
- Responds to new inquiries within three hours of receipt
- Conducts property site tours with prospective clients
- Learns and understands the wedding and special event capabilities at all properties
- Works with clients and team members to cultivate and execute creative ideas
- Provides accurate quotes and detailed proposals for prospective clients
- Executes contracts for new pieces of business
- Secures final payment for events when needed
- Creates banquet event orders and group resumes for events when needed
- Attends daily and weekly internal meetings as required
- Possesses exceptional attention to detail
- Serves as the onsite service manager for events and weddings when needed
- Possesses excellent teamwork and communication skills, as both are necessary to maintain a well-orchestrated operation
- Perform any other related duties as requested by the Director of Catering

Requirements
- Minimum two years in wedding sales and events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience with event management software preferably SalesForce
- High School Diploma
