Senior Fiscal Coordinator - Authorization
Starting Salary Range: $53,481 - $64,177
GGRC is looking to hire a Senior Fiscal Coordinator to be the subject matter expert on Traditional and SDP Purchase of Services and other related authorization process. This role will be based out of our office in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
Authorization Functions
- Review and process all traditional and certain SDP POS requests
- Maintain bridged traditional and SDP POS as per individual spending plan
- Process Traditional POS Change such as Add, Reduce, Stop and Income Change for residential POS
- Analyze POS cases and provide resolutions
- Help resolve POS Authorization questions with all customers as appropriate
- Process payment adjustments due to POS Change Requests
- Interact with and assist A/P and Vendor Units
- Process contract auths such as start-up, vacant beds, HCBS, QIPI, Assessment, etc.
- Process SSI rate change and all retro rate change for all services
- Analyze internal authorization conversion due to change of the vendor, service code, tax ID, etc.
- Process source of funds maintenance for all residential POS
- Analyze POS loan, create spreadsheets for three years period; follow-up loan repayment from case management team, and process write off loans
- Counsel Accounting Staff concerning work related issues
- Assist in the resolution of POS Authorization issues
- Assist Social Work Services and Accounting Staff with POS request issues
- Integrate new service programs into the Accounting Flow
- Understand the cash receipt process and serve as back-up
- Generate, review, and analyze audit indicator reports. Connect with case management team for any duplicate authorizations, and follow-up with AP team for uncollected overpayment.
General
- Participate in audits
- Gather and compile requested information for internal audit and state audits
- Run, prepare, and analyze different queries reports as needed
- Perform filing, filing maintenance, on the shared P folder and file purging duties
- Develop and/or update policies and procedures to ensure traditional and SDP efficiency of the unit
- Assist and support all Accounting Staff, Social Workers, Vendor and Community Resource Units, and Service
- Providers in solving complicated issues related to any accounting function
- Ensure appropriate internal control and audit procedures are in place
- Serves as backup to Authorization Supervisor
- Assist with year-end rollover/rollback process
- Participate in special projects, and assist with additional duties or tasks, as assigned
- Maintain all client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Lanterman Act
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 4+ years in accounting or related subject
Skills
- Ability to convey complex info
- Written communication: ability to develop standard business communications, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Oral communication: ability to convey complex information and ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, including scanners, copiers, faxes, phones
- Basic familiarity with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook®, or similar software applications
- Knowledge of accounting principles
