GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Senior Manager, HCM Product Owner provides strategic leadership and oversight for the configuration, optimization, and delivery of Workday HCM solutions across the enterprise. This role is responsible for managing a Workday configuration team and collaborating with stakeholders across Human Capital, Technology, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement to ensure Workday capabilities align with business needs and drive operational excellence.
This position requires a deep understanding of Workday HCM, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. The Senior Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of HC technology and ensuring the successful execution of the Workday roadmap.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and own the long-term Workday HCM product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and HC priorities.
- Lead and manage the configuration of Workday HCM modules, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Direct and develop a team of Workday configuration professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, business process owners, and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance system efficiency and the employee experience.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday configuration projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, maintaining data integrity and security across all Workday configurations.
- Partner with HC Centers of Excellence to evaluate and enhance key HC processes through technology and innovation.
- Support additional HC technologies and systems as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; identifying and developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in Workday HCM configuration and implementation, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Workday HCM certification is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver large-scale HR technology initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of compliance, data security, and regulatory requirements related to HR systems.
- Familiarity with financial services industry and experience leading cross-functional process improvement projects is preferred.
- Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
