Job Description
We are permanently looking for a Genomics Sales Account Manager (m/w/d) (home-office based with frequent travel (70%) across your territory and to Eurofins Genomics production sites (Germany, few times per year).).
You will be responsible for:
- Your main task will be to increase sales in all genomic service areas in which we are represented, including Next Generation Sequencing, Applied Genomics Markets, Sanger Sequencing, Oligos, Gene Synthesis, Microarray, Genotyping.
- Develop a sales-pipeline by discovering and mapping new projects and opportunities
- Carry out regular reporting: Sales analysis, forecasting and competitive analysis. Intensive use of CRM
- Work closely with other sales team members, including account managers and other sales specialists within Eurofins Genomics, to coordinate thorough solutions and a high-quality customer experience.
- Involving other more technical and/or supporting roles to facilitate the best project management solutions for the customer.
- Providing feedback from customers and other market emerging solutions to both the customer care team and to regional specialists as needed.
- Developing and realizing the sales targets in the territory by creating and maintaining good client relationships and visiting new and existing customers in industry, academia and biotechnology companies as required to reach targets and maintain market awareness.
- Maintaining existing key account relationships and partnerships with key contacts in scientific centers of excellence.
- Organizing regional events for target groups
- Implementing the sales strategy in co-operation with the Regional Sales Manager and adapting it to the local situation.
- Delivering effective sales presentations; introduce and promote products and services.
- Working cross functionally with Business Unit Managers, marketing, customer support, account managers, technical support, and scientific liaisons to ensure customer satisfaction
- Providing monthly reports on sales activity, incl. forecasting, GAP analysis regarding actuals to budget, and opportunities as well as competitive threats.
Qualifications
Your profile:
- You are based in Bavaria, ideally close to Munich, with an in-depth knowledge in sales of genomics technology within the research academic, biotech and industrial/commercial sectors
- Scientific/Technical background as BSc in a relevant scientific field or higher.
- You have experience with genomic applications (current and future) and associated analysis methods.
- You are self-Motivated: Ability to work autonomously and deliver results against target
- You have excellent deal structuring, negotiation and communication skills
- You are a team player: Interact with the UK & European sales & support team and cross functionally within the organization e.g. production, customer care, marketing and controlling to contribute with new ideas for team success.
- You possess formal presentation and negotiation skills
- You are skilled in communication and information sharing with sales management in Europe.
- You have high integrity. Must work independently, and without daily supervision.
- You are fluent in German and English (oral and written) on a business negotiating level.
Experience Required:
- Commercial experience in sales is preferred, but support will be provided to train where needed
- Knowledge of genomics applications (current and emerging), and related analysis methods
