We are seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to lead our ready-mix concrete sales operations. The ideal candidate is a driven, competitive sales professional with strong knowledge of the construction industry and a 'hunter' mentality, excelling at building client relationships and pursuing new business. They should be eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationships: Identify and target contractors, builders, and construction companies. Build and nurture lasting client relationships.
  • Sales Strategy: Execute strategies to achieve sales goals. Work together with the Sales Manager to identify market opportunities.
  • Identify potential customers through local directories, construction sites, and networking opportunities. Conduct cold calls and send personalized emails to generate leads.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand ready-mix concrete products and educate clients on specifications and applications.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare competitive quotes and negotiate agreements effectively.  
  • Order Management: Coordinate with dispatch and production teams to ensure timely deliveries and keep clients informed about order status.
  • Market Study: Identify new business opportunities and attend industry events to expand the client base.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular updates to the Sales Manager.
  • Accounts Receivable: Work closely with Billing & Credit departments to guarantee smooth and accurate billing processes, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries quickly and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Follow up on prior proposals to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of, or ability to quickly understand, ready-mix concrete products, applications, and customer segments.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in construction or building materials preferred.
  • Understanding of batching plants, logistics, and quality control in concrete production

  

Actual compensation will be based on experience and skill set.
