Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Recreational Therapy Provider with a big heart to join our team. The Recreational Therapy Provider is responsible for providing direct recreational therapy services to clients. These services include assessment, treatment planning, individual sessions, group sessions, and documentation, among other things.

Remarkable way you will make a difference...
- Provides comprehensive recreational therapy assessment and treatment plan for each client served.
- Conducts regular home, community, or clinic-based individual and/or group recreational therapy sessions for clients on caseload.
- Consults and collaborates with family and team members in support of client needs.
- Plans programming for group sessions in collaboration with team members.
- Interacts with clients to demonstrate respect, acknowledgement of rights, and dignity at all times.
- Keeps abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations.
What you need to be considered…
- Bachelor's degree or higher in recreational therapy (or related field with required coursework) from an accredited program required.
- Directly relevant applied experience in recreational therapy and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
- Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS).
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Indiana driver's license and good driving record.
- Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
- No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical.
Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
