Callidus is the most advanced legal generative AI platform on the market today. We offer a uniquely powerful platform, enabling lawyers (as one example) to draft a full 30‑page legal brief in ~10 minutes—saving about a week of effort.

More than 1,000 paying lawyers rely on Callidus today, and ARR is growing >20% MoM, putting us in the top 1% of funded startups at this level. We’re ready to scale and are looking to triple the size of our team.

Your Mission

Make Callidus the default AI operating system for litigators—first in the U.S., then worldwide. You will:

1. Design rigorous evals. Build automated and manual test suites that benchmark model accuracy, hallucination rate, and citation quality; surface actionable metrics for engineers.
2. Audit & improve outputs. Perform daily quality reviews, red-line errors, and collaborate with developers to tighten prompts and retrieval pipelines.
3. Level-up prompting. Pair with engineers to craft, debug, and optimize complex system- and user-prompts; translate legal nuance into token-efficient instructions.
4. Provide light legal support. Draft board minutes, review basic contracts, and advise on legal positioning (nice-to-have, not core).
5. Create content. Produce demo videos, step-by-step tutorials, CLE-style training, and knowledge-base articles that showcase best practices.
6. Support revenue. Jump on occasional sales or customer calls to explain AI-powered workflows, handle objections, and gather feedback for product loops.
7. Instrument for insight. Tag real-world user interactions, log error classes, and report trends that inform roadmap priorities.

What We’re Looking For

Core Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 1+ years practicing law at a firm (litigation strongly preferred)
• Strong technical acumen (potentially a B.S. in computer science)
• Experience scaling a PLG startup from early PMF to >$10M ARR.
• Excellent problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to commute to Dallas office ~4-5 days per week.

Interview Process (fast!)

1. 30 min chat with Head of Operations.
2. 45 min deep-dive with CEO (technical / legal problem solving).
3. Potentially a 4-hour take-home project.

Location

• US‑based required.
• Dallas, TX strongly preferred. Will also consider "unicorn candidates" in McKinney, TX, Austin, TX, and San Francisco, CA.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $160,000
