Junior Data Analyst

ApprovalMax integrates with platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Oracle NetSuite to unlock powerful efficiencies for approvers and finance teams. The company is globally recognized and has won’ Xero App Partner of the Year’ four times since 2020 in different countries.

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our team. 

What you’ll do:

• Data collection & preparation: pull data from Azure, APIs, and Google Sheets; run quality checks; remove duplicates and handle missing values
• Analysis & visualisation: explore trends, calculate core metrics (CAC, LTV, ROI), and build interactive dashboards in Power BI
• Presentation preparation: create clear, concise slide decks that highlight key insights and recommendations for stakeholders
• Experiment support: help craft hypotheses, estimate sample sizes, and analyse test results
• Documentation: describe data sources and calculation logic in Confluence.

Main requirements:

• Over a year of experience on strong academic projects (it would be great if you could share some relevant samples of your projects)

• Confident SQL (JOINs, CTEs, window functions)

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query)

• Basic Python (pandas, matplotlib/seaborn)

• Working knowledge of statistics: means, medians, variance, p-values

• Ability to visualise insights clearly and a sharp eye for detail.
   

Nice to have:

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase)
• Familiarity with Git, Jira or similar tools
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Intro-level understanding of ML algorithms and evaluation metrics.
