Job Description
We are now seeking a Lead Senior Infant Teacher for age group ranging from 12 months - 18 months to add to our growing team at a Gold Rated (SUTQ), NAC Accreditationchildcare and preschool center in Middlefield, Ohio.

Job Summary
As a Lead Senior Infant Teacher, you’ll be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for infants, building relationships with families, and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to promote growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for infants.
- Observe and assess infants’ development and progress, and provide guidance and support to families.
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, and ensure that all licensing and accreditation requirements are met.
- Collaborate with a team of teachers and support staff to plan and implement daily activities and routines that meet the individual needs of each child.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families to provide updates on their child's progress and development.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in professional development activities and staff meetings to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
- At least 1 year of child care experience in a licensed ODJFS child care program
- Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check and maintain current physical health standards.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants and young children.
- Reliable and dependable with strong work habits; expected to be in place and ready for work at scheduled times, with minimal tardiness or absenteeism.
- Reliable and compassionate, capable of fostering a warm, nurturing environment for children and families.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Displays a friendly and positive demeanor, with a creative and energetic approach to work.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on the floor or on child-sized furniture for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move a child repetitively weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a moderate to noisy work environment.
- Ability to assist children in an emergency situation.
- Climb and descend 1 to 2 flights of stairs (while helping children safely navigate steps).
- Able to meet the physical demands staying in proximity of children to be within arm's reach.
- Participate in safety drills by following the established guideline which includes moving children from one location to another. This may involve moving children into cribs and transporting a crib which carries multiple children to designated locations.
- Withstand outdoor temperatures and condition for extended periods of time during all seasons.
