Job Purpose:
The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for the daily management of all production planning. This includes creating and maintaining the production schedule for all brewery, cellar, and packaging operations, managing relationships with all contract customers, and purchasing of raw materials.
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills, as well as experience with beverage manufacturing processes.
Duties and responsibilities:

· Manages a comprehensive production schedule that meets sales forecasts, on-hand inventory targets, equipment availability, product launch dates, and distributor orders.
· Manages relationships and acts as the primary point of contact for all communication with all Contract Customers. Manages Customer forecasts, material delivery scheduling, reporting, and invoicing.
· Assists the Director of Brewery Operations and President in managing Customer relationships, as well as acquiring new Contract Customers, including responding to Customer inquiries and managing onboarding of new Customers.
· Manage inventory levels of AleSmith and Customer packaging materials to ensure availability for planned production.
· Recommend and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure production efficiency, equipment utilization, and goal achievement.
· Participate in production and sales operations meetings to ensure alignment with key stake holders; translates pertinent information into necessary schedule adjustments.
· Create new and maintain existing Bill of Materials (BOM) and production orders in Company software.
· Investigate and recommend ways to optimize production processes, i.e. waste reduction, equipment efficiencies, process flow development
· Support Sales and Brewery Operations activities such as new product introduction, sales forecasting, and order fulfillment to ensure that assigned scheduling and planning activities and capabilities meet long-term sales projections.
· Monitor changes in sales volume and work with the Sales Department to anticipate future forecasted production need and on-hand inventory pars for each brand.
· Work with the production team to create SOPs for production and product related processes, inventory tracking, data recording and analysis, and interdepartmental communication.
· Work with production leaders to streamline production processes and improve product quality.
· Lead weekly production planning meetings to review upcoming scheduling and ensure alignment across operational departments.
Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Strong knowledge of inventory controls techniques
· Strong decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills
· Must have an understanding of mathematical concepts such as percentages, ration, and data analysis
· Proficient with MS Office, Excel, and Inventory Management Systems
· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation and customer service skills to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and vendors
· Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
· Must be detail oriented and highly accurate
· Must have a solid knowledge of beer styles and the craft beer industry
· Solutions oriented, self-motivated, and results driven
· Prior supervisory experience in brewing or beverage production preferred.
· At least 4-7 years minimum of commercial brewing experience.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
