Business Development Manager - Industrial IoT Solutions
Job Description
We’re hiring for a Business Development Manager who’s got just the right mix of technical curiosity, commercial drive, and storytelling ability.
Our client provides cutting-edge IoT remote monitoring solutions—used in places where traditional connectivity doesn’t exist. Think oil rigs, mines, deserts, and rural utility stations.
This isn’t your average SaaS sale. It’s about helping enterprise clients and distribution partners see a problem they didn’t even know they had—and then showing them how tech can solve it.
What You’ll Do
- Lead business development efforts targeting industrial sectors like oil & gas, mining, telecom, and utilities
- Work closely with distributors and channel partners—you won’t be selling direct, but you’ll be enabling the ones who do
- Translate technical product benefits into compelling business outcomes, especially for C-suite decision-makers
- Identify and qualify large-scale opportunities in emerging or underserved markets (UAE, South Africa, Australia, US)
- Support solution design in collaboration with product/tech teams—think consultative selling, not pushy pitching
- Drive growth by helping partners develop new use cases and applications for the solution
- Report on pipeline, partner performance, and market feedback to shape go-to-market strategy
What You’ll Need
- 4–8 years in B2B business development, preferably in industrial tech, IoT, or related sectors
- A strong grasp of technology fundamentals (you don’t need to code, but you should understand the product deeply)
- Experience selling in channel/distributor-led models (B2B2B preferred)
- Comfort working across emerging and developed markets
- Clear, concise communicator who can simplify tech for executives in just a few sentences
- Proven ability to sell consultatively, not just close based on price or features
Bonus Points
- Experience with remote asset monitoring, edge computing, or AI-enabled platforms
- Exposure to hardware + cloud product ecosystems
- Previously worked in a startup or high-growth environment
