Job Description

The Park Slope Armory YMCA is seeking a Child Watch Aide to maintain a safe, structured, fun, and value-based program for children aged 6 months to 7 years old. Responsibilities include ensuring children's health and safety, providing a fun environment, supervising activities, developing age-appropriate lesson plans, processing applications, maintaining medical and attendance records, and communicating with parents. Additionally, the aide must follow CDC sanitary guidelines and obtain shift coverage when necessary, participating in training and events.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Minimum of two years of child care experience
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Excellent hospitality and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
