We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager - Work Group Lead focused on Wastewater Treatment and Waters systems, including Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Process Cooling Water (PCW), to support our growing construction management team in Peoria, AZ. This role is part of a large-scale industrial construction program and plays a critical part in delivering high-purity utility infrastructure and process systems on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Work Group Lead (WGL) is a discipline-specific leader embedded within the project execution team. This individual is responsible for overseeing the technical and construction aspects of the Wastewater and Waters scope, coordinating closely with design teams, contractors, quality personnel, and owner representatives. The WGL will work hand-in-hand with other discipline leads and project managers to deliver a safe, timely, and high-quality installation of critical process systems.

\n- Serve as the discipline lead for Wastewater, UPW, and PCW systems, providing technical oversight during installation and startup.
- Partner with construction contractors and internal teams to validate scope, installation methods, and system conformance to approved designs and specifications.
- Act as the primary point of coordination for design reviews, field clarifications, submittal approvals, and RFI resolution related to waters and wastewater infrastructure.
- Perform regular site walkdowns, field verification of installation practices, and review of contractor redlines and deviations.
- Support construction quality assurance by working closely with QA/QC personnel to implement and uphold inspection plans.
- Interface with design professionals, client technical teams, and construction coordinators to resolve field-level conflicts quickly and effectively.
- Participate in punch listing, system turnover, and commissioning activities, ensuring a successful handover of complete and compliant systems.
- Maintain discipline-specific documentation in the project management platform, including issue logs, test documentation, and progress tracking.
- Support training and mentorship of junior engineers and technical staff, sharing best practices and field knowledge.
- 5–10+ years of experience in construction or engineering roles focused on high-purity or process water systems (UPW/PCW), wastewater treatment, or similar industrial utility systems.
- Strong field presence with the ability to navigate active construction sites and engage with craft labor and trade partners.
- Proven experience working in fast-paced, schedule-driven project environments—semiconductor or high-tech facility experience preferred.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, system schematics, P&IDs, redlines, and technical submittals.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and enforce compliance with design and installation standards.
- Strong communication and coordination skills; must be able to facilitate collaboration across multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience supporting or managing commissioning and turnover processes a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of formal education.
