What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time SCADA Services Manager to oversee the technical and managerial tasks as it pertains to routine and emergency service and operational efficiency of our water and wastewater treatment facilities nationwide. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate a service team that will be built out as part of this role’s responsibility, and work with the Intelligent Technology Support (ITS) Practice Leader when additional support staff is required for service. You will provide guidance to less experienced staff, perform QA/QC functions as it pertains to quality of service in a timely manner, and support Plant and Area Managers by managing the SCADA assets. \n- Demonstrate a high-level of professionalism when handling service and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manager and staff interactions.
- Distribute service workload to O&M project staff, O&M corporate support staff, and/or consulting support staff.
- Perform QA/QC function as it pertains to quality of service.
- Maintain and coordinate automated service ticketing system to ensure service requests are addressed.
- Serve as the primary contact for coordinating all O&M service requests.
- Maintain a 24/7 on call list rotation and support system for support of all O&M plants nationwide.
- Follow up with staff, plant managers, and Area Managers to ensure quality of service was rendered.
- Maintain the holiday coverage schedule and rotating staff.
- Work closely with ITS Practice Leader to perform and deliver SCADA Reviews site evaluation assessments for all new O&M projects as part of the onboarding/transition process. Assist with executing defined project tasks within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Provide mentoring in area(s) of expertise to junior and project level staff.
- Communicate effectively with O&M and Consulting management, managers and team members.
- Conduct staff performance annual reviews.
- Partner with ITS National Practice Leader on cross-training for team growth opportunities and maintaining program (PLC, OIT, HMI) standardization.
- Support and oversee that Health & Safety and Electrical safety best practices are maintained with the team.
- Work with O&M internal procurement staff on purchase requisitions for scheduled and emergency service needs.
- Maintain asset inventory of all O&M facility SCADA hardware and software. Work with plant managers to keep the software in support each year, and work with ITS Practice Leaders when SCADA Server hardware is at end of life and full upgrades are required.
- Maintain database/Power BI reporting on hardware and software support status with assistance from the O&M technology team.
- Manage SCADA Service contracts in place with O&M clients and works with O&M management team on annual renewals and budgeting.

- Associates degree in applicable engineering field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in a technical position, leading a team or equivalent demonstrated competency.
- Demonstrated skills and abilities required of a service level manager.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and strong organization skills.
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and team leadership approach to this position.
