JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Accounts Manager, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for driving business growth and developing key relationships within the animal and human health industries. This role will focus on identifying new market opportunities, managing and expanding strategic accounts, and increasing sales within the animal and human health sectors. The Strategic Accounts Manager will play a crucial role in building long-term partnerships, developing tailored strategies to meet client needs, and achieving revenue targets while aligning efforts with the organization’s overall mission and goals.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis, account management, tradeshows or a related field.
- Significant experience working with sponsors and donors, with a proven track record of relationship management.
- Prior experience in conference/tradeshow management is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software i.e. HubSpot, Monday.com
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

- Strong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group presentation abilities.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES
Strategic Account Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with key sponsors and exhibitors.
- Ensure fulfillment of sponsorship obligations and sponsor satisfaction with ROI.
- Regularly review and maintain sponsorship agreements to ensure retention.
- Maintain consistent communication with assigned accounts on organizational activities.
- Track sponsorship fulfillment items from partners and vendors.
- Manage on-ground sponsor activities and relationships at the Annual Conference.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, using it to continually prospect new business.
Sales & Marketing Support:
- Oversee design, production, and distribution of sales materials, including presentations and proposals.
- Provide accurate and timely invoices and paperwork to Accounting and sponsors.
- Assist in managing sponsorship opportunities and products.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with Events, Education, and Marketing departments to maximize and fulfill sponsorship opportunities.
- Assist Operations and Sponsorship team with new initiatives.
- Ensure completion, execution, and updating of sponsorship packages and agreements by deadlines.
- Keep accurate records of sponsor meetings and send timely recaps.
Database & Record Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all sponsorship activities, including progress timelines and contracts.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
- Sponsor satisfaction and retention rates.
- Timeliness and accuracy of sponsorship fulfillment.
- Quality and effectiveness of sales materials.
- Successful collaboration with internal departments.
- Completion and execution of sponsorship agreements.
- Positive feedback from sponsors and internal teams.
