Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PMO (Program Management Office) Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across our Sales, e-commerce and customer intelligence organization. This includes managing key projects for both the data and systems teams, as well as the e-commerce group. You will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to establish program frameworks, monitor execution, and ensure accountability for high-impact deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned program management professional with a strong background in leading enterprise-level initiatives, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to influence outcomes in a fast-paced digital environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Define, manage, and drive execution of cross-functional programs across e-commerce and customer intelligence (data + systems) teams.
  • Build and maintain the master program roadmap and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and business goals.
  • Lead program reviews, steering committee meetings, and executive updates with clarity and precision.
  • Manage program interdependencies, risks, escalations, and resource planning across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain best practices, templates, and documentation to support consistent project delivery.
  • Support and guide teams in Agile, hybrid, or traditional project methodologies as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards for all relevant projects.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Implement project performance metrics and KPIs to measure progress and ROI.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Procurement to manage contracts, budgeting, and vendor relationships where needed.
  • Coach and mentor project managers, analysts, and team leads across the organization.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance execution speed, quality, and cross-team coordination.
  • Monitor resource allocation and assist with prioritization to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Act as a change agent to improve communication, alignment, and accountability across the org.
  • Create executive-level reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into key initiatives.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or technical Master’s degree a plus
  • 10+ years of program/project management experience, with at least 5+ years in a people management or team leadership role
  • Proven success managing large-scale, cross-functional programs in digital, e-commerce, or data-heavy environments
  • Experience working within or supporting technical/data and e-commerce teams
  • Strong understanding of systems development lifecycles (SDLC), data platforms, and cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with business operations, change management, and digital transformation

SKILLS

  • Exceptional organizational and program governance skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Proficient with tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Able to operate effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Leadership presence with a collaborative and inclusive approach
  • Ability to drive accountability and maintain alignment across distributed teams
  • Analytical thinker with a knack for simplifying complexity and driving results

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
