Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Manager, Marketing & Product Management, is responsible for creating and executing Avantor's strategies for portfolio growth within Korea.

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • To create and implement strategic marketing plans for assigned portfolios to fulfill company’s growth expectation via market share gain of existing products, new supplier acquisition and new product expansion.

  • Leveraging on AMEA portfolio strategy to identify current portfolio gaps and potential market growth/trends to develop GTM strategy to drive revenue and profitability.

  • To develops and enhance key strategic supplier relationships to improve Avantor's competitive position by conducting regular engagement and business reviews with suppliers.

  • To benchmark competition and customers and perform market research (primary or secondary) and Voice of Customer to guide our marketing strategy.

  • To set up pricing of product groups assigned to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

  • To negotiate distribution, quality, and confidentiality contracts terms and conditions and secure the most advantageous position for the company regarding pricing and support with suppliers.

  • To plan and execute good NPI practices- onboarding, pricing relating, training to sales, marketing tools.

  • To engage with customers via marketing events or joint sales visit to generate leads (product demos) and build brand awareness.

  • To develop KOLs to position Avantor as the trusted partner in setting science in motion.

  • To develop content and marketing plans that cater to both digital and non- digital platforms.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/ chemistry or related field

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, ideally in the chemicals industry

  • Ability to create and implement business plans and strategies

  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team, suppliers and internal & external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work cross functionally with all departments including sales, applications, business operations, technical service and regulatory

  • Strong business acumen

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Relevant scientific skills – to assess the technology and innovation of products and the application for our customers

  • In-depth understanding of life science lab workflow

  • Hands-on lab work experience is highly preferred

Working conditions:

Office environment with some travels needed.

Flexible commute to the office (currently 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home)
