Our People Technology team seeks a Software Engineer in Bengaluru to deliver state-of-the-art GAI solutions for our People Team. You will play a key role in aiding our business partners in building the next generation of People systems that incorporate GAI and enhances the employee experience.

In this role, you will be part of a technical team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy new features in our People GAI platform solutions. There will be significant collaboration with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm to evolve our People Technology platforms, easily understand business requirements, and identify opportunities effectively resolved with technological solutions.

Responsibilities:

Be part of a group of engineers and help in developing GAI solutions using Azure OpenAI and address business challenges and enhance product performance.

Challenge and support our team to deliver lasting, scalable, and secure solutions that offer excellent user experiences.

Foster continuous learning, innovation, and improvement, while empowering our team members for decision-making and project ownership.

Collaborate with project managers, product managers, cross functional teams to deliver every sprint on time and with great quality.

Communicate regularly with your leads, manager and business partners, understand their product roadmap, manage their expectations, and earn their trust.

Code, document, and implement new applications and as well as existing programs

Contribute to enhancements, and corrections to existing applications codebase

Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and best practices. Coding must adhere to all standards for security, be easily maintainable and have high system performance.

Define and monitor code quality, and coding standards 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Basic Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree or with an Advanced Degree.
• Hands on knowledge in one or more programming language or technology including, but not limited, to C#, Java, .NET, Angular, CSS, React, building RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of data structures, which consist of data organization, management, and storage formats that enable efficient access and modifications
• Good data analytical mindset to understand the data and build great products
• Experience working within a SCRUM model
• Experience with n-tier web application development and experience
• Prior exposure to SQL &/or NoSQL data stores is beneficial
• Hands-on knowledge of Microservices, containers, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Experience in using GenAI tools in SDLC is a plus
• Experience with merchant data or payment technology is a plus
