We are looking for a Senior SDET to join our US Area at Tink. We have a clear mission: to deliver world-class product experiences to its customers. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and strategies that ensure the quality and reliability of our open banking platform. You will work very closely with development and product teams to create comprehensive test automation solutions across our tech stack. You will work with your team to ensure that the end user experience of the US payments and account check products is reliable, scalable, and resilient. Here are some of the key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust test automation frameworks and strategies aligned with our Java, AWS, React, and Node.js technology stack
  • Create and maintain automated tests for REST APIs, microservices, and frontend applications
  • Implement end-to-end, integration, and performance testing solutions for cloud-native applications
  • Set up and maintain test environments using containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to implement testing strategies for microservices architecture
  • Establish quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into application quality
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through their resolution
  • Active participation in code reviews from a quality assurance perspective
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation
  • Be responsible for the availability and quality of test automation frameworks the team owns
  • Regularly deploy test automation to production-like environments and monitor test results

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
•5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
•BS degree in computer science or software engineering or other related fields with a minimum 5 years of experience in Java and web service development OR MS degree in computer science or other related fields with a minimum 3 years of experience in Java and web service development.
•5+ years of experience in QA automation with a focus on full-stack applications
•Strong programming skills in Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
•Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or Rest Assured
•Hands-on experience automating REST APIs and proficiency with API contract testing
•Experience implementing custom test automation frameworks and libraries from scratch
•Experience with AWS services and testing cloud-based applications
•Experience with service virtualization and test data management
•Ability to implement visual regression testing solutions
•Experience implementing code coverage tools, custom test reporting and analytics dashboards
•Experience with CICD tools, processes and performance testing tools.
•Proficiency with container-based testing strategies for microservices
•Experience implementing security testing automation (OWASP ZAP, SonarQube)
•Knowledge of chaos engineering tools and practices for resilience testing
•Experience with automated accessibility testing (Axe, Pa11y)
•Understanding of financial API ecosystems and open banking standards
•Experience testing authentication and authorization flows (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect)
•Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code with proper abstractions and design patterns
•(plus) Experience in mobile test automation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 200,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
