Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Director to drive platform innovation for our Issuer Digital Products business. You will be responsible for defining and driving the platform strategy, roadmap, execution, and optimization for Visa's issuer digital solutions business.
This role requires a strong product management background and understanding of platform architecture. This role is based in San Francisco and will report to the Head of Product for Issuing Solutions Digital Business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance a modular platform to deliver best-in-class digital products to issuers that aligns with Visa's overall business strategy and goals
Oversee the platform development from concept to launch, including ideation, development, and testing
Work closely with engineering, design, operations, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless platform development and delivery
Continuously monitor and optimize platform usage post-launch to guide product innovation and development
Establish and manage a prioritized product backlog based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business priorities
Continuously monitor competitor offerings and industry developments to ensure Visa's products remain competitive and innovative
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, product teams, and other functional areas
Engage with key clients and partners to understand their needs/expectations and secure their alignment
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the tech or financial services industry
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital platforms & microservices
- Strong expertise in defining and executing product strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans leveraging data to inform decision making and secure influence
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering and design teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization
- Experience building a high-performing product management team with a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- In-depth knowledge of market research techniques and experience in conducting customer and competitive analysis
- Strong track record of fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Deep commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs and pain points
- Experience in designing and delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across Visa functions, navigating a matrix organization
- Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers
- Willingness to travel as required

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 196,000.00 to 284,450.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
