Senior Manager, Paid Media (The North Face)
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Manager, Paid Media at The North Face looks a little like this.
The Senior Manager, Paid Media is a key Americas Marketing leadership role responsible for strategic media planning, buying, execution, reporting and optimization across CA-US-MX. Reporting to the Head of Marketing for TNF Americas, this leader will ensure we are driving investment efficacy, while balancing the need to continuously innovate. This leader must stay on the cutting edge of emerging media trends, strategies, and consumer behaviors. They will nurture a high performing team, and as such, need to be a team player, coach, and effective communicator with a passion for data-driven marketing.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Lead media strategy, planning, buying, execution, reporting, and optimization across all paid channels, inclusive of Brand, Performance, and Retail marketing; partner with Wholesale marketing on co-op media recommendations
- Manage internal team and agency team to ensure that strategies and plans deliver against brand and business objectives
- Actively manage media budget, investment ROI, and delivering against ROAS targets
- Comfortable creating media sufficiency analyses and revenue projections
- Work closely with marketing brand leads to ensure media plans ladder up to the broader marketing strategy, and key initiatives and product stories are supported
- Brief in creative needs to internal and external creative teams; oversee the development/execution of media creative assets
- Partner with agency and internal CRM, Analytics, and Consumer Journey teams to build audience targeting strategies and enhance journey-based campaigns
- Implement test and learn plans, uncovering the best performing creative, tactics, audiences, and tools; identify innovative and high growth opportunities while continually prioritizing testing roadmap to drive the greatest impact
- Oversee media budget management and finances, including invoices, reconciliations, accruals, and budget planning
- Keep up to date on the evolving digital media landscape, including platform updates, marketing trends, and marketing technology, as well as competitor activity and best practices
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to ensure compliance on data sharing and ingestion
- Own and evolve relationships with key media vendors and partners
- Enhance approach to attribution and measurement in partnership with analytics and agency teams
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Team and agency management experience required
- Strong understanding of and experience working with key media channels including paid social, display and video, search engine marketing, and affiliate marketing
- Must be a strong communicator who is able to effectively communicate marketing efforts, media performance/ROI and best practices to the broader organization
- Proven track record driving towards growth goals with set targets, timelines, and budgets
- Growth mindset – continuously learning, iterating, and improving; willing to experiment and pivot as needed
- Experience working at or with digital agencies and creative teams
- Experience with budget planning and KPIs
- Passion for data-driven decision making and creating compelling and personalized digital customer experiences
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Analytics
- Highly driven with a positive, high-energy, team-oriented attitude

Hiring Range:
$146,880.00 USD - $183,600.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
