What we’re looking for
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist eager to be part of the Jeeves Accounting Team. This role will be responsible for managing reservations balancing and cash posting in collaboration with internal stakeholders, overseeing the reservations life cycle and assisting with the management of Booking Partner relationships and billing. This candidate needs to be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of a fast-paced and high growth environment. This is a position that must be able to set the standard for integrity and professionalism, while interacting with a diverse team.

What you'll do
- Serve as the point of contact for specific Booking Partners supporting our Accounting team for complex inquiries and escalations with the ability to handle difficult situations with grace
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed
- Respond to general finance questions from external Booking Partners and Vacasa employees via email and Slack
- Enter custom credits and billings for accurate and timely owner statement processing
- Run different types of reservation auditing reports and completing adjustments needed to ensure reservations are balanced
- Post reservations payments and create daily deposit slips
- Investigate and respond to credit card chargebacks in accordance with company standards
- Collaborate with team members on various projects
- Generate ideas to streamline processes and create efficiencies
- Possess a clear understanding and interpretation of policies and controls, demonstrating financial and business acumen
- Protect organizational values through confidentiality and following company policies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze data for complex situations
- Strong business acumen and understanding of upstream and downstream impacts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and thorough
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and responsiveness to change
- Good understanding of virtual meeting platforms (Hangouts, Slack, Zoom, Huddle)
- Proficiency with Excel and Google apps for business
Work Experience
- 1-3 years relevant AR or similar experience; hospitality industry highly preferred
- Work effectively both independently and as a member of the team
Compensation:
- $46000 / year. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
