Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Generalist to support our Human Resources team with core administrative processes and employee relations activities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day HR functions, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. This role is hybrid reporting into the corporate office based in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates
- Prepare HR-related employee documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Employee Relations Support:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and concerns
- Assist with conducting investigations and preparing documentation related to employee complaints or disciplinary actions
- Monitor workplace trends and escalate employee concerns appropriately
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar capacity
- Minimum of 3 years of employee relations and conflict resolution experience.
- Solid knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance standards
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems
Preferred Attributes:
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
