What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience in facilities management or related fields, preferably in education
✔ Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and safety compliance
✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills
✔ Proficiency with computer applications for managing facilities and budgets
✔ Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
✔ Flexibility to respond to off-hours operational needs
Maintenance and Operations of Facilities:
• Supervise the upkeep, repairs, and improvements of campus facilities, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
• Create and execute preventive maintenance schemes to ensure peak performance of equipment and systems.
• Perform regular inspections throughout campus to proactively identify and resolve any issues.
Vendor and Contract Management:
• Cultivate relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring they adhere to service agreements.
• Oversee the acquisition of facility-related supplies, services, and equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
• Coordinate safety audits and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Implement necessary corrective actions to uphold a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Budget and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, monitoring expenses and resource allocation.
• Discover cost-saving opportunities and oversee expenditures efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Partner with Campus Leadership to align facility management strategies with institutional objectives and campus priorities.
• Address facility-related inquiries quickly, providing timely solutions and updates as needed.
Emergency Response:
• Act as the main point of contact for facility emergencies, ensuring a prompt and organized response.
• Be prepared to address urgent situations outside regular business hours when required.
General Duties:
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.
This position will require 100% Travel to all 15 TUBC campuses in IL, IN, and WI.
