Role Overview:

As a PMO Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project excellence across our IT and business portfolios. This role is designed for a proactive, structured, and quality-driven individual who thrives in an environment that values governance, financial insight, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, business stakeholders, and executive teams to ensure that projects are aligned with organizational goals, properly governed, financially sound, and well-documented. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support to Project Managers throughout project lifecycle phases
  • Perform quality checks on project documentation and deliverables
  • Challenge and validate business cases, with a focus on financial justification
  • Align project outputs with portfolio and financial management processes
  • Support the implementation of the IT governance framework and ensure compliance
  • Facilitate and organize PMO forums, review meetings, and program boards
  • Maintain and enforce PMO frameworks, standards, and governance policies
  • Manage documentation workflows: charters, reports, business cases, lessons learned
  • Develop and oversee risk management frameworks; escalate critical issues as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO processes, tools, and templates
  • Support and occasionally lead project meetings, steering committees, and kick-offs

Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Familiarity with project and portfolio management tools
  • Understanding of financial and budgetary processes
  • Bonus if certified in: PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL4

Preferred Background:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PMO or project support roles
  • Educational background in IT, Business Administration, or Project Management
  • Experience working in or with Japanese corporate environments is a plus
  • Fluency in English (additional languages, especially Japanese, are an asset)
