Therapeutic Health Services (THS) is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Seattle. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, recruitment, and maintaining employee records. The pay for this position is $32.00-$35.62 an hour.
Requirements
- Prepare new hire materials and coordinate onboarding processes, including orientation sessions.
- Maintain and update the HRIS and employee files (digital and physical).
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments and troubleshooting.
- Support recruitment efforts including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and developing retention strategies.
- Conduct background checks and employment verifications.
- Verify and track employee credentials, including professional licenses and certifications.
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and CARF accreditation standards.
- Provide support for internal investigations and assist in preparing related documentation.
- Contribute to the development and revision of HR policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff at all levels.
- Compile HR metrics and data to support analysis and reporting.
- Facilitate or support HR-related trainings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Able to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services organization.
- Familiarity with CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards.
- Proficiency with SQL-based HRIS systems or databases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
