The Director of Maintenance & Reliability will partner with the operating teams of POM Wonderful to build a Maintenance and Reliability platform based on Total Productive Maintenance principles to drive both performance and maximize value. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that operating teams deliver the required function and level of performance in terms of service or production, in a sustainable manner, at an optimum whole life cost without compromising health, safety, environmental performance, or the organization's reputation.
Job Description
- Provide thought leadership in developing practical solutions to Equipment Reliability related opportunities
- Interface directly with operating company Leadership Team
- Act as a driving force behind critical strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives with a proven track record in leading and managing enterprise-wide change initiatives
- Provide insight through analytics and drive continuous improvement implementation efforts
- Develop and execute a comprehensive reliability and maintenance strategy in collaboration with operations, engineering, and maintenance team
- Accelerate implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce unplanned downtime. Oversee all aspects and expansions of to derive further value
- Establish and drive autonomous and preventative maintenance programs to reduce stops and improve OEE
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to set strategies to source reliable spare parts and optimize inventory management in store room (5S principles a plus)
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track reliability metrics, such as mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Identify and deploy tools to help manage maintenance budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Foster a culture of reliability excellence by providing training, mentorship, and guidance to operations and engineering teams
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in reliability engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Aseptic principals, specifically design systems to prevent contamination from microorganisms during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and minimizing risk of infection
- Strong understanding of food safety PMs and the implication on product quality
- Proactive mindset and proven ability to implement PM programs prioritization for minimizing down time
- Demonstrated understanding on implementation of Total Productive Maintenance
- Must have deep working knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Asset Condition Management
- Focused, organized, and results-oriented individual with demonstrated passion for solving problems and operational excellence
- Ability to work effectively with clients at all levels of the organization both autonomously and within a team
- Understands the functionality and application of a CMMS (preferably Oracle eAM)
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative
- Advanced interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) and maintain credibility across all levels of the organization
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, with at least 3 years leading a Maintenance & Reliability Department, developing and implementing reliability centered / based maintenance programs
- Track record of implementing reliability and LEAN improvements and successfully delivering business results
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
Pay Range: $160,000 - $180,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
