High Speed Data Engineer

We are seeking a senior electrical engineer to engineer and validate high speed interconnects in large AI systems. This role requires an understanding signal integrity of high speed links, passive and active copper cables, and optical transceivers at 100G, 400G, 800G and 1.6T rates. You will work closely with cross-functional team to develop AI inference and training cluster architectures and deployments for both internal and external customers.
This role is Hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, or Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:
- Define and specify high speed interconnection between systems
- Develop requirements and validation plans for interconnects
- Document topologies and cable requirements for clusters
- Interface with industry suppliers and track roadmaps
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience high speed communication
- Experience link & channel budget analysis
- Experience with accelerated life testing, mating life, failure analysis
- Experience with tools like Keysight ADS, VNAs, TDRs, BERTs and protocol analyzers
- Experience in Cable specification and testing
- Manufacturing /DFM / DTM experience a plus
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
