We’re looking for a visionary and execution-oriented Head of Product – Content Transformation to lead this critical initiative. You will spearhead the strategy and development of next-generation tools, platforms, and workflows that modernize how content is created, managed, and distributed across digital, mobile, and emerging platforms. You will collaborate across editorial, design, engineering, and data teams to build scalable solutions that unlock content value, drive operational efficiency, and improve audience reach and personalization. In this role, you'll own the roadmap for content transformation initiatives—from AI-assisted creation tools and dynamic content systems to modular CMS solutions and personalization engines This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of technology, content, and audience.
Who you are
You are a strategic systems thinker with a deep appreciation for both the art and science of content. You’ve led product development at the intersection of content, technology, and user experience, and are excited about transforming static content into dynamic, intelligent systems. You understand content workflows deeply—from editorial processes to AI generation, versioning, metadata, and omnichannel delivery. You're a strong communicator and collaborator, capable of uniting content creators, engineers, and designers around a shared vision. You believe in scalable, flexible content models and are comfortable working with structured content systems like headless CMSs or knowledge graphs. You have a bias for action and know how to drive transformation within complex organizations.
You have a passion for local news, communities, and entertainment – and are deeply motivated to serve our creators with elegant, intuitive, and helpful tools that allow them to work on the top of their license covering their communities every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for content transformation, aligning with business and user goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to build and scale new tools for intelligent content creation, modular authoring, and personalized delivery.
- Define and champion structured content models, reusable components, and metadata strategies that support omnichannel content.
- Collaborate closely with content teams, engineering, design, AI/ML, and marketing to align product development with user needs and content strategy.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies including AI/ML content generation, NLP, semantic tagging, and knowledge management systems.
- Drive the evolution of our content infrastructure and workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Measure success using clear, actionable product and engagement metrics (e.g., content performance, production velocity, personalization impact).
Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on content systems, digital publishing, or content platforms.
- Experience with content transformation technologies such as headless CMSs, structured content, personalization engines, or AI-assisted content creation.
- Strong understanding of editorial workflows, content lifecycle management, and multichannel delivery.
- Familiarity with content taxonomies, metadata frameworks, and content performance analytics.
- Excellent project leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with engineering and data teams; experience with APIs, content schemas, and microservices is a plus.
