Job Description

About Teambridge:

More than 60% of workers in the US (and 70% of workers in the world) are paid hourly, and the businesses that employ them each have their own unique processes and workflows when it comes to managing their workforce. Unfortunately, the workforce management tools that have historically been available to them are some combination of rigid, outdated, or not built for an on-the-go workforce.

Teambridge is the world’s first flexible workforce management platform–it’s fully composable and built mobile-first, making it easy for companies to mold Teambridge to the unique shape of their business. Teambridge is powered by modular, no-code blocks that can be combined to automate any task or process that comes with managing a large workforce, such as hiring and onboarding, or time tracking and scheduling.

With a $28M Series B raised in 2024, Teambridge is funded by General Catalyst, Mayfield and industry leading angel investors as we build flexible, efficient, and intuitive solutions for complex workforce challenges. Based in San Francisco, Teambridge is committed to redefining the industries we partner with.

About the Candidate:

We’re looking for a Technical Architect to join our Engineering organization and help drive the long-term technical direction of our platform. This person will partner closely with our Head of Engineering to own and evolve the architecture across our systems—ensuring performance, scalability, and security, while maintaining a developer-friendly foundation that enables fast iteration.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, opinionated (in the best way), and passionate about solving hard problems in elegant ways. You’ll serve as a technical thought partner across engineering and product and act as a multiplier—elevating the work of those around you through mentorship, reviews, and architectural leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end architecture of our platform—balancing speed and scalability across multiple services, languages, and components.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to ensure our architecture supports our product roadmap and long-term vision.

  • Lead technical design discussions and architectural reviews to ensure alignment and quality.

  • Be a key contributor to technical decision-making across infrastructure, backend, and platform-wide patterns.

  • Mentor and support engineers across the org—leveling up our team’s collective technical acumen.

  • Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, reliability, security, and cloud architecture.

  • Support multiple engineering teams with architectural guidance and technical oversight.

  • Partner with the Head of Engineering as a strategic advisor on planning, resourcing, and org-wide technical direction.

  • Partner with Cross-Functional leads across departments to make the business successful.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or staff-level architectural role.

  • Deep experience designing and building scalable, reliable, and secure systems in production environments.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS), distributed systems, and modern infrastructure practices.

  • Experienced in both relational and non-relational database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.) and event driven architecture.

  • Excellent communicator, comfortable aligning both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to drive consensus across functions and influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.

  • Previous experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams at scale is a plus.
