About the Role:
Play a key role in modernising and futureproofing Oracle environments. - Architect modular domain structures to enable separate lifecycle management for ORDS/APEX, Forms/Reports, and BI Publisher.
- Validate that product versions align with Oracle’s certification matrix and support timelines.
- Develop an OHS routing strategy to direct /ords, /apex, /forms, /reports, etc., to the correct domain.
- Define a phased roadmap to futureproof the architecture and support upgrades of Forms/Reports without deployment bottlenecks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of WebLogic 12c/14c architecture and domain design.
- Experience deploying and managing ORDS/APEX in clustered and standalone environments.
- Expertise in Oracle Forms/Reports compatibility constraints.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8 vs Java 11/17 lifecycle management in Oracle environments.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience in the utilities or regulated sectors (e.g. UK energy).
- Ability to maintain and work within existing standards and scripted environments.
- Familiarity with OHS/Apache routing and SSL/TLS configuration.
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, OUM).
