Position Summary:

The Director of Outpatient Pediatric Therapy is a crucial leadership role responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic oversight of eight outpatient pediatric therapy clinics across Colorado. This individual will ensure exceptional care delivery in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and mental health therapy while also driving team performance, growth initiatives, and regulatory compliance. The Director will serve as a key leader in developing pediatric programs and cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide dynamic leadership and operational oversight for 8 pediatric therapy clinics.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to meet quality, growth, and patient satisfaction goals.
  • Ensure alignment of therapy operations with organizational mission, values, and pediatric care standards.
  • Routine meetings with clinical and administrative staff.

Clinical Oversight

  • Support best practices in pediatric care across all services.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety regulations, and HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain high standards of care by reviewing clinical documentation, patient outcomes, and therapist performance.

Metrics Management

  • Monitor and report performance across the key performance indicators.

Team Development & Culture

  • Recruit, retain, and mentor a high-performing interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and staff training.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and child-centered workplace culture.

Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Manage clinic budgets and oversee operational performance, including scheduling optimization.
  • Evaluate staffing models to ensure efficient resource utilization and access to care.
  • Partner with billing and administrative teams to ensure clean claims and minimal denials.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold current Colorado licensure in one of the following:
    • Physical Therapist (DPT or MPT, Colorado DORA-licensed)
    • Occupational Therapist (OTR/L, Colorado DORA-licensed)
    • Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP, DORA-licensed and ASHA-certified)
  • Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in related therapy discipline.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of pediatric therapy experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or multi-site management role.
    • Demonstrated success in leading teams and improving clinic performance through data-driven strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado Medicaid, private insurance payers, and Early Intervention services preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams with empathy, clarity, and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Work Environment:

  • Based in Colorado with frequent travel required to 8 clinic sites.
  • May include remote administrative work and occasional evening/weekend meetings or events.

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience
