Health Manager – Early Head Start Program

Location: Colorado

About the Role:

Starpoint’s Early Head Start Program is seeking a professional, motivated Health Manager to ensure the health and safety of children, families, and staff. The Health Manager oversees compliance with federal and state health standards, conducts on-site health monitoring, and leads the planning and implementation of health and mental health services across the program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring children’s well-being while supporting families in accessing care and advocating for their needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor children’s health status and on-site safety needs.
     
  • Review and interpret health records for compliance with regulations.
     
  • Use data to identify children needing physicals or immunizations.
     
  • Assist families in obtaining necessary medical care.
     
  • Coordinate with area physicians for referrals and medical documentation.
     
  • Lead planning and evaluation of all health and mental health services.
     
  • Manage services for children with disabilities or special needs.
     
  • Foster relationships with parents, staff, and community professionals.
     
  • Empower parents to advocate for their children and navigate services.

Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (BSN preferred).
     
  • 2 years of experience working with children and families.
     
  • Experience in clinical health, public health, or health services.
     
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and auto insurance.
