Head of Marketing
Job Description
About Solidroad
Building something great is addictive. It’s like discovering your favorite TV show mid-season, except you're helping write the next episode. It’s like unboxing a new gadget, except you’re the one designing it. You shape how it feels, how it works, and how people react when they use it.
At Solidroad we're solving a big, messy, exciting problem: how do you scale customer support without losing what makes humans amazing? Warmth, empathy, intuition. We’re using AI, generative tech, and real-time simulations to make this happen. It's ambitious, difficult, and genuinely new.
About the role
We are raising the quality bar for every customer interaction - and now we’re looking for our first marketing leader to tell the world about it.
As Head of Marketing at Solidroad, you won’t just own the strategy — you’ll help define it. This is a hands-on role for a scrappy, creative, and growth-minded marketer who wants to take a product with early traction and pour fuel on the fire. You’ll work closely with the founders to refine our positioning, scale top-of-funnel, and turn Solidroad into a brand CX and support leaders think of first.
This is an opportunity to build marketing from the ground up. You’ll shape our voice, launch campaigns that move the needle, and eventually build a team around you.
What you'll actually do day-to-day
Content & Enablement: Create and maintain high-impact marketing collateral, including case studies, customer stories, and sales enablement materials.
Outbound Strategy: Hire and manage a team of SDRs to optimize outbound outreach and prospect engagement.
Lead Nurturing & Events: Just like most b2b enterprise businesses, our sales cycle isn’t overnight. You’ll be responsible for nurturing leads with email campaigns, events, and more – from when we first touch them until they sign.
Demand Generation: Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (e.g., email, social, events, partnerships) to engage prospects, generate leads, and support customer acquisition.
Experimentation & Optimization: Experiment with messaging, creative, customer referral campaigns, and channels to discover effective ways to connect with our target audience.
Digital Frontdoor: Take full ownership of our website, transforming it into a powerful marketing and conversion engine. Optimize user experience, refine messaging, and implement data-driven strategies to drive engagement and lead generation.
Our Team & Culture
We’re a small, focused group working full-time in our San Francisco office. We’re here five days a week because building something ambitious means collaborating closely, solving problems together, sharing ideas spontaneously, and occasionally challenging each other to padel matches, cold plunges, or karaoke evenings. We're intentional about creating a culture that's mature, supportive, and fun. You'll be joining experienced founders who've done this before, alongside a tight-knit team genuinely excited about building something impactful.
We hope you
3+ years of experience in Enterprise B2B Marketing (focused on five and six-figure ACVs)
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
Experience running both multi-channel digital campaigns and conferences (or event) marketing
Experience working at a tech startup
Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms
Possess a high level of resourcefulness, grit, and determination.
Bonus points
Experience marketing to customer experience, support, or operations leaders
You’ve built or scaled a high-performing SDR team
You're not afraid to get on the phone with a customer to understand their pain
The good, the bad, and the honest truth
You’ll have a blank canvas. You’ll work directly with experienced founders, build the brand from the ground up, and own strategy and execution across every channel. You’ll shape how the world sees Solidroad and help us scale from early traction to a category-defining company. Your work will be visible, valued, and fast-moving.
We don’t have a fully built marketing machine — yet. There’s no team under you (yet), no giant budget, and not every campaign will work. Some days you’ll be writing a blog post, building a landing page, and writing outbound copy all before lunch. You’ll need to juggle a lot and prioritize ruthlessly.
This role isn’t for someone looking to manage from a distance. It’s for a builder who wants to get their hands dirty and own the outcome. If that excites you more than it scares you, you'll thrive here.
