These products include pipe, elbows, boots, rectangular duct, duct fittings, wall stack, oval, black stove pipe and fittings, spiral pipe, spiral PVC pipe and fittings for the HVAC professional. These products serve the residential, multi family, and light commercial HVAC markets.
Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations within the facility, including production, maintenance, and shipping with a strong focus on quality and safety. Serving as a driving point for leading and developing team members while aiding in continuous improvement initiatives through data, strategic planning, and performing the following functions:
Essential Job Functions:
- Be a proactive leader in sustaining a strong and effective safety program, consistently leading by example to promote a culture of safety and accountability
- Be a champion in the support of the Company Core Values and Fundamentals
- Responsible for managing production, shipping and maintenance objectives and efficiencies
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization including the HR department on labor relation matters such as interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolutions
- Lead and mentor supervisors and support staff to achieve objectives on a consistent basis
- Conduct timely and constructive employee performance reviews
- Utilize daily operating reports and metrics for continuous process improvements
- Assess productivity and workforce capacity to optimize staffing and meet production schedules.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Provide recommendations for purchases, modifications and renovations of plant equipment
- Lead, organize and participate in plant meetings
- Contribute to scheduled corporate trainings and organizational meetings
- Follow and promote all Company policies and procedures
- Regular attendance is essential
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellence in all forms of communication
- Proven ability to train, mentor and coach associates
- Ability to combine hands-on tactical skills with strategic leadership initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety
- A strong track record of successful accomplishments in a leadership role.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
