Job Description
Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Defines, analyzes and applies techniques involving the entire scope of the manufacturing engineering function
- Defines, analyzes and solves problems across the entire spectrum of the manufacturing process
- Responsible for the manufacturing processes including development of total integrated manufacturing systems
- Prepares and coordinates entire manufacturing engineering plans for introduction of a product into production
- Provides technical/engineering advice to other manufacturing personnel
Qualifications
Education:
- BS degree in engineering required
- MS degree desired
Experience:
- Six years required at BS level OR four years required at MS level of progressive experience in concurrent engineering and/or manufacturing.
- Experience should include basic manufacturing planning, understanding of military specifications and certifications, raw material selection engineering change process, design modification, use of CASD/CAM systems and manufacturing process development.
- Two years of experience in aviation desired.
