The Savvas Literacy Fellowship program seeks experienced middle school educators to collaborate with literacy specialists and contribute to innovative literacy solutions for the 2025-2026 academic year.

This exclusive program from Savvas Learning Company invites high-performing classroom teachers to work closely with Savvas literacy specialists, product developers, researchers, and fellow educators in pursuit of innovative literacy solutions.

At Savvas, we believe teachers and students are at the center of everything we do. The Savvas Literacy Fellowship is an opportunity to join a small cadre of highly experienced middle school teachers who love teaching reading and care deeply about the future of literacy instruction. As a Savvas Literacy Fellow, you will have a voice in decisions that will impact Savvas product development and early literacy instruction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of secondary teaching experience
  • Current grade 6 - 8 teacher, instructional coach, or department chair
  • Availability to participate in an in-person summit (July 14 - 17) in Northbrook, IL, and participate in follow-up virtual events
  • Willingness to share expertise, knowledge, and experience with Savvas and with other fellows, and positively engage with peers

Other Areas of Expertise:

  • MLL
  • Writing
  • Reading/Foundational Skills
  • Experience with striving reading and or multilingual learners (comfortable differentiating the for the literacy needs of diverse learners)
  • Comfortable using and or familiar with using a program approach to teaching literacy
  • Ability to provide an overview of what materials are currently being used to teach
