Compensation Range:

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

A unique opportunity to join the expanding URMC Adult Nutrition Support Clinic as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary group.  The successful candidate will join a team including, APPs, registered dietitian’s and a physician medical director. The APP role includes nutrition assessments, management and prescribing of nutrition support regimens, coordination of care, and management/exchanging of enteral access devices including gastrostomy (G) tubes, jejunostomy (J) tubes, nasally inserted feeding tubes (FT) and measurement and placement of low profile (MicKey button) G and J tubes. Patient population includes adults who receive home total parenteral nutrition (TPN), tube feedings and/or teduglutide (GLP2 growth hormone) therapy for many reasons but most commonly due to neuromuscular disease, head and neck cancers or GI disorders.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is willing to be mentored in this specialty, obtain membership in the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and eventually attain certification in Nutrition Support practice. The successful candidate will participate in the education of learners (students, fellows and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.  Candidates should possess a focus on patient centered care and patient/family/caregiver satisfaction, excellent critical thinking, strong communication skills, and computer competence.  This position requires licensure and certification in NYS as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in good standing. 

Qualifications: 


Nurse Practitioner
Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner. 

Physician Assistant
Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. +
