About this role
As Commercial In-House Counsel, you will partner with our revenue-generating teams to provide comprehensive legal support across commercial operations, focusing on contract management, regulatory compliance, and strategic business initiatives. Working closely with the General Counsel, you'll play a key role in managing customer relationships, vendor agreements, and supporting Robin AI's growth through pragmatic legal guidance. #LI-SA1
What you'll do
Partner with revenue-generating teams (Sales, Business Development, etc.) to provide support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer contracts
Support the pre-sales team with customer and vendor due diligence queries of a legal nature
Review, negotiate and advise on vendor agreements that the group is entering into
Provide succinct, pragmatic, and decisive legal and regulatory advice to help Robin AI achieve its strategic objectives
Oversee and advise on legal risks related to vendor relationships, outsourcing, IT contracts, growth initiatives, and new product offerings
Serve as a proactive, strategic, collaborative, and solution-focused business partner within the legal team
Handle litigation matters as they arise
Develop and maintain legal and regulatory policies for vendor management, including Supplier Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy, and data privacy standards
Support business initiatives within the legal function's scope, such as fundraising and establishing risk mitigation policies and procedures
Horizon scanning and reporting on upcoming legal and regulatory changes in the AI and technology sector
What about my skills?
New York-barred attorney with a minimum of 3 years of in-house experience
Experience in both large corporations and smaller private B2B SaaS companies; experience in the AI legal technology sector is highly advantageous
Experience with SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, and broader commercial agreements
Track record of working in high-growth businesses, including contributing to the design and implementation of new processes to drive business efficiency
Experience handling small-scale internal litigation
Ability to work and negotiate autonomously on commercial and customer contracts
Broad knowledge of data privacy regulations (US/UK/EU)
Strong logical and problem-solving skills, paired with good judgment
Strong business and commercial acumen with excellent judgment
Takes ownership and works independently with senior leadership
Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
