Overview
The Operations Leader role for Repligen is a senior position and is responsible for site related functions, including all of Operations and Manufacturing roles at the site. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the site expansion programs, implementing quality management systems and maintaining ISO certification. The individual will play a leadership role in scaling the site, and properly resourcing the site for business. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with customers, headquarters functions (G&A, Sales and Business Unit Leaders) and external providers (Suppliers and Contractors) to achieve exceptional results. In addition, the candidate must have strong communication skills, technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in a classified cleanroom, and knowledge of GMP/ISO/document-controlled processes would be beneficial. Attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all site personnel involved, collaborating with headquarters functions for harmonization for matrixed roles.
- Lead all operations at the site, including Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, Quality and Customer Service Order Processing.
- Hire Operations leadership team.
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
- Focus on delivering quality product to our customers based on our commitments.
- Achieve operational and financial results to plan.
- Ensuring that all employees are trained to perform their functions and have personal development plans.
- Ensure that the operation is in compliance with all aspects of Repligen's IS09001 Quality Management
- Responsible for ensuring that work area is clean and safe
- Report metrics, as required.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Science or a related field preferred, plus10+years' experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and/or lean daily management.
- Experience leading a manufacturing and distribution site.
- Experience building out/starting a new manufacturing site.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems to effectively account for production and inventory.
- Experience in bioprocessing is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with the operation of laboratory equipment (including pumps, UV detectors, and various gauges/sensors) and operation of process-scale manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in Customer Service and Distribution is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communications.
- Strong employee development, mentoring and motivational skills.
- Must be resourceful and self-motivated.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent vision required.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $189,672-$223,318. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
