Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and empathetic Customer Service Coordinator to support our healthcare team by handling patient communications, managing schedules, and coordinating appointments. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients from first contact through follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with patients via phone, email, or text to schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
- Provide courteous and informative responses to patient inquiries.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to align appointment schedules and availability.
- Follow up with patients who missed appointments or have not yet scheduled.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the scheduling or EMR system.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and care.
- Support administrative tasks such as sending appointment reminders or intake forms.
- Work collaboratively with internal clinical teams to ensure proper patient flow and communication.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong spoken and written English skills with a neutral or minimal accent.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
- Proficient in scheduling tools, email, and spreadsheets.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive interactions with professionalism.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently.
